Planning for the Future

Planning for the FutureBella’s Board of Director’s met earlier this month for their annual Strategic Planning Meeting. During this meeting, the board and staff used the SWOT model of analysis to evaluate how the ministry is doing and where we should be directing our attention in the coming months and years. SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.

The process of identifying areas under each of these categories gave us the opportunity to not only look at everything that Bella is doing right, but to look at areas of need and discuss how we can improve on what we are currently doing.

Three specific categories that we plan to focus on this year include: Prayer, marketing and developing a new fundraising plan.

Prayer

Our goal is to find a group of dedicated prayer warriors who are willing to pray for Bella on a daily basis, as well as when special needs arise. Ultimately, we would like to find people who are willing and able to come to Bella once a week and pray with the staff and volunteers.

Marketing

Our desire is to be the first place in the Northern Hills that anyone with an unplanned pregnancy comes for support and information. We plan to develop and execute a marketing plan that will enable us to reach every woman in our area that is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

New Fundraising Plan

Because all of Bella’s services are offered free of charge, fundraising is a very necessary part of what we do. However, the board would like to relieve the staff of the fundraising burden so they are able to focus more fully on serving clients and equipping volunteers for the ministry. Along with this, it is our heart’s desire to get out of debt by paying off our mortgage. For these reasons, we will be looking at new ways to do fundraising from which we will develop a comprehensive fundraising plan.
